This is a phonetically balanced test for word recognition (i.e. speech discrimination).
There are four lists of 50 words each.
They are made up of consonant-nucleus (CN), nucleus-consonant (NC) and consonant-nucleus-consonant (CNC) words.
These lists have been recorded in four randomizations called "forms."
The talker has a General American dialect.
The articulation function is approximately 4% /dB.
